Forget Being Olivia Pope (aka The Fixer), Fix Yo’ Self!

Olivia Pope was known as the infamous “Fixer” on the hit TV show, Scandal.  She’d strut in her white outfit proclaiming, “it’s handled,” but did she ever seem happy fixing others? Or more importantly, did her own life ever seemed fixed or handled? Not to me!

The need to fix or problem-solve for others comes with ease for those who are natural caregivers or empaths. That’s just who we are, but there’s a dark side to being a fixer that we don’t talk about often. Even when our need to fix or offer advice comes from the best intentions, it doesn’t mean it’s healthy for anyone involved (including you). In today’s episode, we’re discussing the desire to fix others not only being a bad habit but a deeply rooted need that is connected to things you need to fix in your own life.
